Are you an Accountant with a strong technical foundation, ideally shaped in a Big 4 audit or accounting outsourcing team, looking for broad, hands-on responsibility in an international group? SwissBorg is a crypto wealth management platform operating through a group of regulated entities across Switzerland, France, Estonia and other jurisdictions. Our accounting team is small, and every member makes a real difference. In this role, you will own Accounts Payable and contribute across the full scope of the accounting function: month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany, VAT and tax, and audit preparation. We would love to hear from you if you are a versatile all-rounder who enjoys the variety that comes with a multi-entity group. The ideal candidate can step into any part of the accounting cycle, from processing supplier invoices to preparing audit files. You will: Own the Accounts Payable process: supplier invoice review and coding (ApprovalMax/Xero), payment preparation, supplier statement reconciliations and vendor master data Prepare and manage general ledger entries, accruals and prepayments Monthly, quarterly and annual closes for all group entities, in collaboration with external accounting firms Balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure balances are correct and supported Monthly intercompany reconciliations, recharges and settlements across group entities Supporting VAT and other tax compliance across jurisdictions (VAT returns, reverse charge, withholding taxes), working with our external tax advisors Prepare audit files and support the annual and interim audits of the group entities Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes, contributing your own ideas Manage both technical and routine accounting tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency About you: A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Around 5 years of accounting experience, ideally starting at a Big 4 firm in audit or accounting outsourcing A strong accounting background: confident with general ledger accounting, closing, reconciliations, accruals and the full accounting cycle Experience with multi-entity groups, intercompany accounting and, ideally, consolidation Hands-on Accounts Payable experience; experience coaching or reviewing the work of junior team members is a plus Working knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance; international or cross-border VAT exposure is a plus Experience preparing for and working with external auditors Hands-on experience with accounting software and strong Excel skills; familiarity with Xero and ApprovalMax is a plus Must have an interest in crypto and/or crypto accounting is a plus Fluent English (French is a bonus) A proactive, detail-oriented and independent working style, comfortable in a remote, international team Why SwissBorg: 🪙 Annual BORG bonus ⏰ Genuine remote and flexible working 🏖 25 days annual leave plus local bank holidays 📚 Learning and development budget 💻 MacBook and home office budget ✈ Team and company-wide retreats 📱 SwissBorg Premium account 💰 VSOP share options 🤗 BORG welcome bonus 🔍You can learn more about us here and follow us on LinkedIn and X for company updates and check out our weekly Pow Wows ! 🤖 A note on AI in our hiring process We use AI tools at certain stages of our hiring process to help assess applications fairly and efficiently.
